A Unique Combination of Materials
DUSTLOC is a unique combination of materials (Calcium Lignosulphonate, Polymer and Surfactant) that provides excellent binding and scavenging properties, in an environmentally sensitive blend.
Each component of DUSTLOC plays a specific role.
Calcium Lignosulphonate
A natural binder produced by the timber industry from renewable forests. Lignin binds the cells of the timber together, providing strength and flexibility. Variable sources and types of Lignosulphonates are available in the market but quality and the type of wood is the key to success. We use the Highest Quality food Grade product meeting all of the highest quality and performance criteria. The Calcium component of our Lignosulphonate complements the penetration and binding impact on the material being treated.
Polymer
High Quality water active polymer, binds fine dust particles and increases the moisture retention in the road material. The addition of this polymer ensures moisture is held in the top layer of the soil substrate thereby ensuring dust is contained.
Surfactant
We utilise the Highest Quality surfactant (wetting agent) to improve penetration of DUSTLOC into the surface / road material. This material is often heavily compacted and has an extremely high surface tension which can repel water or other liquids products. The surfactant breaks this surface tension and improves DUSTLOC penetration.
